Mike grew up in Sedgwick, KS working for his father and grandfather on the family farm. He attended Hutchinson Community College earning his associate degree and then transferred to Kansas State University where he graduated with a degree in Agribusiness. After working in banking for several years he wanted to get back into agriculture and the opportunity to start a Pioneer Seed Agency came about in the summer of 1998.

When not busy with the seed business you will find Mike visiting with customers and farming. In his spare time he enjoys fly fishing, snow skiing, attending K-State football and basketball games and going to sporting events for his youngest son. Tye grew up south of Newton, KS and attended KSU in the fall of 1990 to study Animal Science & Industry (degree in Agriculture). After graduation he moved to Fremont, NE to work in a packing house for Hormel Foods where they killed and processed 16,000 hogs per day. After a couple years there a position opened at Hormel’s smoked meats plant in Wichita, KS (Dold Foods), he transferred back to the area and has been here ever since.

Tye married his wife Holly in 1999 and they have two daughters, Josephene (Josie) and Katharine. Holly is a school nurse in Newton and Tye feeds cattle and sells Pioneer seed. They enjoy going to one of the local lakes when time allows in the summer. Holly and the kids enjoy working with their horses and Tye prefers the company of 1970’s Ford pickups.

He enjoys working at Wildcat Agri-Services because it has never, ever, felt like a job. Instead, it feels as though it is a big family effort where everyone cares about what everyone is doing and helping each other succeed in what they are trying to accomplish on a given day. Nobody ever butts heads we just all know how to get along with each other and everyone realizes servicing each customer is the #1 priority, no matter whose customer is on the yard.
